Project design and management
Our Project Managers are highly experienced in managing survey programs, designing remedial specifications, tendering, contractor selection, managing site works and writing asbestos management policies, procedures and plans.
Asbestos surveys and re-inspections
We are able to conduct Type 1, Type 2 and Type 3 surveys in accordance with MDHS 100. Reports can be either paper or electronic and can be held on an intranet or secure web site. Confirmed asbestos containing materials must to be inspected for evidence of deterioration as part of an ongoing asbestos management plan. Our re-inspection services include updating surveys that are not to the standard of MDHS 100.
Bulk sampling and analysis
Our qualified and experienced staff analyse samples within our UKAS accredited laboratories. We also analyse samples taken by clients and delivered directly to our laboratories. Should samples require scanning electron microscopy (SEM) then this can be arranged through our specialised UKAS accredited suppliers.
Air monitoring and counting
Air monitoring is conducted by trained analysts to our UKAS accredited quality procedures in order to demonstrate compliance with all current legislative requirements. Air monitoring services provided include; Static Sampling for Background, Leakage and Reassurance testing, as well as Personal Sampling. In addition our analysts can provide site certification for reoccupation on completion of asbestos removal work.
Cad services
Our fully trained and competent staff can produce drawings to identify areas that have, or are likely to contain Asbestos Containing Materials. These services are offered within a final report context, or commercially at competitive rates to any organisation that do not have this expertise in-house.

Asbestos services
The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations have explicit legal duties affecting anyone who owns, occupies, manages or has responsibilities for premises, which may contain asbestos.
These duties include;
• A legal duty to manage the risk from this material; or
• A legal duty to co-operate with whomever manages that risk.
The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) estimates that over 1.5 million commercial buildings contain asbestos materials and that asbestos is likely to be present if they were constructed or altered before 1985, although asbestos maybe found in buildings constructed in the 1990’s. Blues Consultants Ltd are able to provide a full range of asbestos services to ensure compliance with all current legislative requirements.
